Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, media and communications, or any related field. A postgraduate degree would be an advantage.
  • At least 8 years of experience in media relations, events management and marketing communications of Hong Kong and Mainland China projects. Solid experience in handling branding/marketing projects for a sizeable corporation would be an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with social media platforms in China, such as WeChat, Sina Weibo, Toutiao, etc.
  • Familiarity or experience working with web content management tools, like WordPress, Drupal, Xweibo, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication and organization skills
  • Good command of written and spoken Chinese, Mandarin & English
  • Proactive, good team player and eye-to-detail           
     

Responsibilities

  • Search and provide deep insight in China market trend, industry structure, key players and stakeholders for formulating and implementing communication strategy, brand building, development and protection
  • Liaise and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall brand communication strategy for Mainland market, and monitor third parties (PR, social media or relevant agencies) to achieve communications goals
  • Design and implement consistent and cohesive internal and external communication plans and systems
  • Identify, target, engage and nurture our audience in China market
  • Drive extensive stakeholder engagement, facilitate plans and activities of conference, speaking opportunities and awards, maintain lines of communication with external stakeholders across media, China's social media (WeChat, LinkedIn and others), community, influencers, public, NGOs etc., in a professional and effective manner
  • Support in formulating and executing production of PR, social media as well as business development materials including website, collaterals, press releases, speech, and other communications documents, such as tender and awards submission, CV, etc.
  • Write, edit and proofread all external and internal documents
  • Monitor and review political, social and economic trends and analyze the impact on the company
  • Manage media enquiries on different issues, analyze fact findings and recommend possible solutions 
  • Assist in ad hoc projects / crisis management communications as and when required
