Expansion of Chinese International School, Hong Kong

The Chinese International School’s 2008 Strategic Vision suggested the development of a collaborative learning centre and two indoor multi-purpose sports centres that could accommodate 600 to 700 students, as well as the expansion of the existing cafeteria and the re-design of staff rooms.

RLP developed a new 11-storey building on the site of the existing secondary gym, providing an auditorium and indoor multi-purpose hall, four storeys of classrooms and two storeys of administration offices, and re-provisioned gym facilities. The new library was planned for the vacated administration storeys to provide a centralized learning hub serving both of the primary and secondary school students.
