ARCHITECTURE

Poly Tower V Building, Guangzhou, China

Located in the heart of Guangzhou on the west side of the city's central axis, the Poly Tower V Building is a comprehensive, mixed-use retail and commercial office development. Formed by two towers, both semi-circular in plan, the development creates a visual impression that the complete development is orthogonal and rotated by 45 degrees in relation to neighbouring buildings.

The two towers are linked at regular floor intervals with landscaped sky court bridges, offering occupiers greater outdoor amenity space for informal meetings. The development utilizes a range of sustainable design factors, including an open atrium, triple-skinned low-E glazing and natural ventilation; all of which minimize energy consumption and improve passive environmental controls.
