ARCHITECTURE

Central Mail Centre, Hong Kong

To pave the way for the MTR Shatin to Central Link railway construction project, the existing International Mail Centre in Hung Hom was relocated to Kowloon Bay and renamed as Central Mail Centre (CMC). The six-storey building, equipped with state-of-the-art mail processing facilities, enhances both operational efficiency and the working environment for staff of the centre.

The outdoor landscaped areas of various forms and sizes are provided for the enjoyment of the staff, including central courtyards, terraces and roof gardens at different building locations. The interior working space provides the maximum possible natural lighting through a LOW-E double glazing system used for the façade envelope and the central courtyard.
